Williams & Totino Earn NEC POTW Honors

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne senior receiver Dave Williams (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) and senior linebacker Nathan Totino (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle) both took away Northeast Conference Football Player of the Week honors for their performances in Duquesne's come-from-behind 21-20 win at Wagner on Saturday.

Dukes Get 21-20 Comeback Win at Wagner

Sean Patterson threw for 3 touchdowns, including the game-winner with less than two minutes to go, as Duquesne edged Wagner, 21-20, in a Northeast Conference match Saturday afternoon on Staten Island, N.Y. Larry McCoy again broke the century mark with 131 rushing yards and Dave Williams pulled in 9 passes for 128 yards and 2 TDs.

Dukes Lose, 14-7, on Nicholls State Fake Punt

Duquesne had been down, 7-0, since 6:35 of the first half. Dave Williams came off the bench after a first half injury to catch Connor Dixon's pass and kept on going for an 83 yard touchdown that tied the score with 10:48 left to play. In the next series. the Dukes' defense stopped Nicholls only to see the Southland Conference team take the lead, for good, on a 63-yard fake punt.
