As his senior year with the Sun Devils was coming to a close, point guard Jamelle McMillan knew that his future in basketball was going to take place on the sidelines, rather than on the court. Yet, he didn't know at the time that his post-ASU career would have him remaining in the college basketball arena and reuniting with a coach that he has known since elementary school.

Seniors tend to get nostalgic, at times even emotional, as they approach their last ever home game for their college team. Jamelle McMillan is no different. He is thankful, despite a disappointing team season, for everything he has experienced in Tempe the last four years and is looking forward to his next chapter, which unfortunately won't include playing the game he loves anymore.

High Expectations are nothing new to Jamelle McMillan. For years now, he's been under the close watch of father and ex-NBA star Nate McMillan. These days, the ASU freshman, is part of one the most heralded recruiting classes in ASU's history, and one that is counted on reversing the program's fortunes. Yet, McMillan exudes a careful balance of realism and confidence talking about the 07-08 season.

Shortly after his unofficial visit in mid-August, point guard Jamelle McMillan gave his verbal commitment to the Sun Devils. During that trip, father Nate McMillan, wasn't able to accompany him due to his duties with the Portland Trailblazers. This past weekend both were in Tempe for an official trip, and the younger McMillan shared his experiences, as well as his dad's, with Devils Digest.

Head coach Herb Sendek and his staff strike again! Less than a week after landing blue chipper James Harden, the Sun Devils continued on their 2007 recruiting class tear and secured the commitment of O'Dea (Wash.) standout Jamelle McMillan. Devils Digest caught up with the point guard shortly after his announcement.
