WILDCATS HEADED TO NEW ERA PINSTRIPE BOWL

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State athletics director John Currie announced Friday afternoon that the Wildcats had accepted an invitational to play in the first-ever New Era Pinstripe Bowl to be staged at Yankee Stadium. The foe will be 7-5 Syracuse - a football program that the Wildcats have played twice in postseason games, winning the 1997 Fiesta Bowl, but losing the 2001 Insight.com Bowl.

THOMAS ‘DRIVES' THE OFFENSE

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Daniel Thomas has truly become Kansas State's one-man attack. The Wildcat dasher totaled 181 yards against Iowa State Saturday in K-State's 27-20 Big 12 victory. It marked Thomas' eighth career 100-yard game in his 15-game KSU career. The Wildcats won the game despite passing the ball just 12 times all day.

Game Of The Year For KSU

Never before in KSU history would a seventh win in a season be so sweet. That's what the Wildcats need Saturday at Nebraska in a 6:45 p.m. kickoff on ESPN to keep their season alive. Going in, NU is 4-2 and 7-3, while KSU is 4-3 and 6-5. The winning team wins the Big 12 North and a trip to the league's championship game. A loss for K-State would end its season.
