Right-hander Tim Corcoran pitched Albuquerque to a 7-2 win at Colorado Springs. Chattanooga took a 5-0 lead into the eighth inning, then allowed 11 runs and Mississippi came away with an 11-5 win. Inland Empire lost their ninth straight, 7-4 to Lake Elsinore. Dayton Dragons used a pair of home runs to top Great Lakes 5-4.

First place Albuquerque scored a club-record 23 runs and dumped Oklahoma City 23-6. Chattanooga, with a makeshift lineup, tripped Carolina 3-2. Inland Empire lost 5-4 to Lake Elsinore and Great Lakes used Matt Wallach's single to edge Beloit 11-10 in 12 innings.

Oklahoma City scored in the 10th to hand Albuquerque a 6-5 loss. Chattanooga pitching only allowed three hits in 7-0 and 2-0 wins over West Tenn. Starters Scott Elbert and Tim Corcoran keyed the sweep. Inland Empire's Alberto Bastardo ran his scoreless streak to 17 games in a 2-0 win over Modesto. Tony Delmonico's home run in the top of the 10th inning gave Great Lakes an 8-7 win over Peoria.
