TWO SOUTHERNERS, Kerry Maddox and Jason Price, are already among the members of the 2006 Washington State class and the Cougs are looking for more. Bill Doba and staff hosted a pair of Texas standouts this weekend, Houston's Mister Alexander and Robert Williams out of Dallas. Both linebacker prospects came away highly impressed with the Cougar program.

WASHINGTON STATE'S recruiting season kicks into overdrive this weekend with at least seven known prospects coming to town on official campus visits -- the first round of Pullman prospecting since before the Christmas break. With Signing Day just two weeks off, Bill Doba and staff look to button things up with the handful of scholies they have remaining.

WASHINGTON STATE'S already landed two Texans this recruiting class and they're looking for more. The valuable southern pipeline yielded three prime-time performers last recruiting class -- all of whom saw playing time as true freshmen. This weekend, Mister Alexander, a hard- hitting linebacker prospect, trips to Pullman while his teammate, defensive back Otis Johnson, is slated to travel to WSU later this month.

Houston (Texas) Eisenhower DB Mister Alexander has consistently listed Ohio State in his schools of interest in recent months, but now the Buckeyes may be picking up the interest on their end. Alexander says a Buckeye offer is on the way, but his recruitment seems far from over.

Mister Alexander is looking at a lot of choice as to where he might play his college football. From coast to coast, conference to conference; his position is one that would appear ideal, having a variety of schools he can go. Only, it's not that simple and while Alexander does have some favorites, they have changed dramatically and it's because while he doesn't know where he's ultimately going to go, he knows where he's not and that's quite a turn from not even a month ago.
