The Huskies went the behemoth route last season with Dan Ryan, Lawrence Green and Mike Hicks all tipping the scales over 300 pounds. The Huskies had girth, but when Foley started to break down the season he saw a problem.

There have been many questions about whether or not the Huskies staff would be looking to take at any offensive linemen in this recruiting class, and those questions were answered when Connecticut product Zach Hurd issued a verbal commitment.

Randy Edsall and his staff do an outstanding job of scouting out the talent in Connecticut. One player who could be in the fold with an outstanding senior season is Zach Hurd. Hurd loves the Huskies and is not shy about saying as much.
