Matt Simpkins is a very intriguing big man prospect in the 2008 class. He's got great talent and potential, but as a player who has reclassified, there are always some questions.

Matt Simpkins should be a big time post prospect. Although he has a lot of work to do there is no denying his size and athleticism which has a number of elite programs evaluating the Sacramento product. The problem is that Simpkins needs some work academically and is looking to reclassify for the 2008 class.
It happens every year, the shoe camps end and focus shifts primarily to the Nike Peach Jam. However, there are still plenty of events around the country and the city of Los Angeles is home to a handful of events that are loaded with West Coast talent.
Matt Simpkins is an intriguing prospect but one teams have been a little wary about. He's a long, athletic big man who has a ton of potential and the raw skills to develop. He's also a player with some academic issues. Those may no longer be a problem as Simpkins is attempting to reclassify as a 2008 player.
