Adeniji, Kristick, Peat find NFL homes

THREE BEAVERS SIGNED undrafted free agent contracts and will get a shot at the NFL -- WR Damola Adeniji, LB Keaton Kristick and OL Gregg Peat, and two moves came with surprises. With Kristick, many thought an NFL team might get themselves a steal with a 6-7th round draft pick. As for Adeniji, no one was talking about the NFL a year ago -- after all, he was a walk-on with one career catch.

Sizing up the Beavs in the NFL Draft mix

THE NFL DRAFT got underway Thursday and here's one for the books -- Idaho had more picks (1) in the first round than did USC (0). Oregon State and Oregon had no players selected, but that figures to change this weekend. QB Sean Canfield and LB Keaton Kristick are generally regarded by the cyberspace draft gurus as OSU's top NFL prospects. But could other Beavs jump up into the NFL draft mix?

VOX: Riley talks DE overview, more

CORVALLIS--The Beavs, in Kevin Frahm, Ben Terry & Co., are replacing two star senior d-ends. And it's hard not to expect there to be some dropoff after Victor Butler and Slade Norris. But Mike Riley isn't ready to accept that premise, not based on the early results. "Frankly, it looks like we have a chance to be good there," says Riley, one of several topics the head man touched on.

A.M. SESSION: Highlights aplenty

CORVALLIS — The morning session provided a glimpse into the future -- both near and distant -- of the OSU secondary. Josh LaGrone is looking up at the safety starters on the depth chart. But the redshirt freshman has some serious upside, and it was in evidence on Saturday morning. Cornerbacks Tim Clark and Patrick Henderson were busy making plays, as were Sean Canfield and a gaggle of others.
