On behalf of their Triple-A Memphis Redbirds, the St. Louis Cardinals signed a minor league free agent, placed one player on the disabled list and activated two others from the DL in a flurry of moves that got the Pacific Coast League club's roster up to full strength.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have outrighted the contracts of infielder/outfielder Javier Brito and right-handed pitcher Edgar Gonzalez, which removes the pair from the team's 40-man roster, as announced by D-backs Executive Vice President and General Manager Josh Byrnes.

Javier Brito led the Arizona Diamondbacks' farm system with a .327 batting average last year and appeared to be a sleeper pick to impact the big league club at some point this season. An injury and a demotion changed that, but Brito's recent hot hitting has restored his prospect status.
