Munns looking to provide a spark

The Arizona State football team has suffered three consecutive losses due to their inconsistencies and lack of discipline but coaching staff has decided to end their leniency. Head Coach Dennis Erickson announced yesterday that linebacker Vontaze Burfict would not start Saturdays match up against the Washington Huskies and in his place will be senior, Gerald Munns.

Shortened Season Cannot Hold Back Munns

Granted, there were bigger defensive contributors than Gerald Munns during the entire 2007 campaign. Yet, few ended that season with a bigger impact than the junior linebacker. Munns missed six weeks due to a knee injury, however his late season performance awarded him a starting position in spring practice and going into fall camp which begins today.

The true freshman, a regular visitor during spring practices, has turned many heads with his performance.
