In a testament to just how young WVU's offensive line will be in 2009, a center who has started only five games in his college career will be looked upon to provide guidance and leadership. That is a role that the Mountaineers' starting snapper doesn't shy away from.
When Eric Jobe stepped in at the center position last season following Mike Dent's career-ending neck injury, the Maryland native was able to gain experience that should be a building block for this year's offensive line.
No one was more surprised to learn of center Mike Dent's injury than back-up sophomore Eric Jobe. Jobe did not know that he would be making his first start as a Mountaineer in last Saturday's game against Cincinnati until the Thursday before that contest.
