It was as nice a day as you could want in Seattle Thursday, as 81 Washington Huskies showed up for another competitive workout session. This one lasted anywhere from 90 minutes to two hours, depending on who you were and what position you played. Overall, the work rate was high and there was plenty of enthusiasm to go around.

With the days ticking ever closer to Washington's September 5th clash with LSU, the more Steve Sarkisian is thinking about the game. More specifically, how the mechanics of the game are going to go. With that in mind, as well as the thought that he wants his team as fresh as possible going into their battle with the Bayou Bengals, it appears that full pads are done for fall camp.

SEATTLE - The University of Washington football staff revealed their post-spring depth chart Tuesday, part of their spring media guide. According to the chart, the Huskies return 19 total starters from 2008 - six on offense, nine on defense and four on special teams.

SEATTLE - Winning is being brought back to Washington, and after watching 11 of their 15 practices this spring I personally think it will happen this coming season. This team is going to win games. That number will probably be determined by staying injury-free and getting all their 2009 signees admitted so they can help right away.

With the annual Purple and Gold game on Saturday, spring practice has concluded and now the focus turns to offseason workouts and conditioning as the team prepares to rectify what happened during last season's 0-12 record. SEATTLE - This is one game where the score isn't necessarily indicative of what took place. The Purple team, led by Jake Locker, defeated the White team 33-0 behind Locker's 16-18 passing day, and the 95-yards rushing of redshirt freshman running back Chris Polk. The game took part at Husky Stadium in front of an estimated crowd of roughly 10,000 fans, former players and family.
