OSU offers lightning bolt

TO MAXIMIZE his speed, Torrance, Calif., running back Davon Brown customized his workouts to sleek down to just under 160 this past track season. Since, he's spent the offseason hitting the weights with a vengeance in preparation for his senior turn on the gridiron, now checking in at a robust 176 pounds. Oregon State is one of his four offers.

Cougs offer California dynamo

THE CLASS OF 2005 marked the first time in recent memory WSU elected not to sign a junior college running back. You have to go back to February of 2001 for the last time the Cougs signed all prep players at the position. Whether the 2006 class follows suit remains to be seen but one prep standout RB the Cougs are focused upon is Davon Brown out of Torrance, Calif., a 5-9, 176-pound dynamo who can cut on a dime. He holds an offer from WSU, as well as from a number of the usual suspects.

Torrance Athlete Has CU Near the Top

Davon Brown gets it done on both sides of the ball for South High in Torrance. He is receiving a lot of attention and is even claiming a couple of offers. CU is one of his top choices and he is speaking often with Coach Hagan.
