Padres Prospect Report: May 22, 2009

Will Inman makes his Triple-A debut and Vince Sinisi ties the game in the bottom of the ninth. Mike Baxter collects five hits and four RBI to help the Missions win a slugfest. Corey Kluber allows all four of his runs in one inning, as the offense struggles mightily. Eduardo Perez makes his system debut while Dan Robertson and Jeudy Valdez do damage from the top of the order.

Padres Prospect Report: May 20, 2009

Nathan Culp pitches well and is supported by Mike Baxter's three RBI. Jeremy McBryde was sharp but the Storm game went into 17 innings – long past McBryde – where Neil Jamison surrendered a solo homer. They Stormed back only to lose an inning later thanks to two Lake Elsinore errors. Six TinCaps errors leads to a rough night for the pitching staff.

Cesar Ramos pitches another solid game and is rewarded this time. Will Inman has another magical outing while Mike Baxter provides the offense. Corey Kluber is hit hard and Neil Jamison has been hit hard all year. Anthony Bass finds his groove while Nick Schumacher makes a solid debut.

Padres Prospect Report: May 13, 2009

Matt Buschmann suffers another loss and hasn't been crisp all season. Cesar Carrillo struggles but Tim Stauffer looks sharp in his return to action. Jeremy Hefner is roughed up while Luis Martinez continues to hit well. Mat Latos pitches well to send the game into extras while Brad Brach faces one batter and sees the game end.

Carvajal high-five; Lara rocked

Josh Banks throws too many pitches in too short a time but keeps his team in the game. Portland's offense doesn't comply. Ernesto Frieri pitches well but the bullpen is hit hard. Yefri Carvajal sets two career-highs and Corey Kluber continues his fine season. Alexis Lara lasts one-third of an inning and getting one out was the lone highlight.

Will Venable hits a pair of solo homers but Matt Buschmann gives up three solo bombs in a loss. Will Inman was on the hook for six runs while Jesus Lopez goes yard in a Missions loss. Lance Zawadzki smashed a pair of homers and Bryan Oland gets a two-inning save. Fort Wayne finally loses, as three pitchers see runs cross their ledger.
