University of Toledo senior quarterback had a record setting performance in Toledo's 52-31 loss to the Purdue Boilermakers in West Lafayette, IN. The 6-2, 225 pound signal caller is entering his fourth season at Toledo. With 30 games played and 27 starts already under his belt, Aaron Opelt hopes to make the best out of his last season of eligibility under a new offense.

Aaron Opelt was forced onto the field as a true freshman in 2006 due to an injury to then starting QB Clint Cochran. Opelt didn't look back and has been the starter for the Rockets ever since. A few injuries have plagued Aaron over the years, but as he enters his senior season he is healthy and ready to win.

Quarterback Aaron Opelt was forced into playing as a true freshman in 2006. Rocket head coach Tom Amstutz had planned to redshirt Aaron, but injuries forced him on the field, and within a few games he was the Rockets starting quarterback.
