SEATTLE - In front of scouts from approximately 15 NFL teams, current Washington Huskies and numerous family members and agents, sixteen former UW players from three classes were pushed, pulled and prodded Thursday for a few hours during the Huskies' annual Pro Day.

UW Pro Day Preview

SEATTLE - Sixteen former Washington players will try to impress NFL scouts Thursday at the Dempsey Indoor Facility during the Huskies' annual Pro Day. The players will be measured, go through agility and strength testing, as well as position drills. Even though it's not open to the public, Dawgman.com will be there to capture it all.

SEATTLE - Doug Farrar, NFL Analyst for Yahoo Sports, happened to ask Pete Carroll a question the week after Washington defeated Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl this past December. From 0-12 to a Holiday Bowl win, what does this say about Steve Sarkisian, queried Farrar. Carroll, now with the Seattle Seahawks, was clear in his praise about Sarkisian, his former offensive coordinator at USC.

SEATTLE – Senior quarterback Jake Locker won the Guy Flaherty Award, the Washington football program's oldest and most prestigious team award, for the second straight season, while Chris Polk, Mason Foster, Kiel Rasp and Greg Walker won MVP honors at the Husky football team's postseason awards dinner.

It wasn't pretty and it wasn't easy, but when it was all said and done, the senior players for the Washington Huskies led their teammates to a second consecutive victory over their cross state rivals, the WSU Cougars. In doing so they set up a re-match with the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Holiday Bowl in sunny San Diego.

PULLMAN, Wash. - Dawgman.com's Kim Grinolds was on hand for the playing of the 103rd Apple Cup at Martin Stadium, with the Washington Huskies pulling out a 35-28 thriller to earn a bowl berth for the first time since 2002. Grinolds produced a photo gallery of the game, complete with the Apple Cup trophy presentation.
