More than a game

Prior to the season, it was announced that the Cal football team would rotate game day captains on a weekly basis. Nine games into the season, two players have been captains for every game; safety Thomas DeCoud and tight end Craig Stevens. During his five years here, Stevens has put together an outstanding, but unheralded career; making a contribution that extends beyond stats and highlights.

Mario Danelo found dead

Trojan kicker Mario Danelo, a two-time All-Pac 10 honorable mention performer, was found dead on Saturday in his hometown of San Pedro. He was 21 years old.
