Gutsy Peforrmance in Beantown

Just one night after an embarrassing blowout loss to one of the worst teams in NBA history, the scrappy New Orleans Pelicans battled down to the wire, against one of the league's best. Despite arguably having the nine best players on the team out for the rest of the season, the road-weary Pelicans came back from a 16-point deficit against the Boston Celtics, a team that is tied for the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference. Tough Times in City of Brotherly Love

The Philadelphia 76ers, and their so-called "rebuilding" phase, have become the NBA's abomination for the past three years. But even as horrific as the previous two seasons have been in the City of Brotherly Love, this 2015-16 campaign has been historically bad. Proud Pelicans Claw Out Victory

NBA journeymen players Toney Douglas, Luke Babbitt, and a trio of players who were in the NBA's Developmental League just two weeks ago, somehow managed a victory tonight against a Denver Nuggets team with faint hopes of making the playoffs. And oh yeah, thank Tim Frazier, Jordan Hamilton & James Ennis as well....

On a night when Knicks star Carmelo Anthony received a late game hug from a young child who ran onto the court, the Pelicans gutted out an unlikely victory. Here's how head coach Alvin Gentry and his walking wounded somehow managed to pull it off.

Battered, Beaten & Bloodied

Just two days after the depleted New Orleans Pelicans roster somehow beat the Los Angeles Clippers, tonight they looked more like a team missing 7 key players. The Miami Heat, fresh off a dominating victory over former teammate Lebron James, swarmed into the Crescent City and laid the lumber on the home team with a dominating 1st quarter and half. The Pelicans stormed right back with a huge 2nd half run, and for the rest of the story....

Is This a Bad Dream?

The NBA season started a few days before Halloween...and for New Orleans Pelicans fans, it's been a House of Horrors ever since.

Professional sports fans are a fickle bunch. When things start to go south for the 'home team', many of us feel the sky is falling and the world will certainly end tomorrow. But for the 0-3 New Orleans Pelicans, a loss to the Orlando Magic tonight would indeed be a tragedy for most hoop fans in the Crescent City. The good news is that the Pels opponent tonight doesn't have 'Golden State' on the front of their jerseys, or 'Curry' on the back. Here's the Pels-Magic preview for tonight's game.
