It may be a little early in the season to think about promotions, but hey, why not? There are five candidates who have already shown they are deserving of a move to the next level, including someone who might be able to help the big league club.
Brett Harker has had some early success as a closer, but he may be better suited to pitch in the starting rotation based on his repertoire.

After putting up fairly ugly numbers in his first season, Brett Harker rebounded nicely in year two. He became the closer for Lakewood and took easily to the role, putting himself in a position to advance and draw attention.

Lakewood was enjoying having two quality closers in their bullpen, until a deal with Seattle that brought Jamie Moyer to Philly broke up their twosome. Now, the job has fallen squarely to Brett Harker, who has no trouble handling the duty.
