MU Signs Four Junior College Players

Marshall University Head Football Coach Mark Snyder announced the signing of four junior college student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, the first day of the junior college signing period. The Thundering Herd is expected to make additional signings during the period that runs through January 15.

Marshall Picks Up Two QBs and LB

Press Taylor, who quarterbacked Butler Co. (Kan) Community College to a national junior college championship last weekend, gave Marshall University a commitment on a visit this weekend, according to internet reports and Huntington's The Herald-Dispatch. Also committing on the weekend trip was Zakee Bashir, a linebacker from Walnut Ridge High School (Columbus, Ohio) who was also offered by Toledo.

Herd Lands Four For Football Over Weekend

C.J. Crawford, a player who played four positions as a senior for Huntington (W.Va.) High School, committed on Dec. 5 to sign with his hometown school, Marshall, according to Anthony Hanshew of The Herald-Dispatch in Huntington. Crawford played safety, running back, wide receiver and quarterback with the Highlanders the past couple of seasons, and was joined by three other verbals Sunday.
