Just a couple weeks ago, it looked like the Saints were in the middle of a major quandary at the tight end position. After all, Benjamin Watson, who just had a career season catching Drew Brees' passes, had just left to join the Baltimore Ravens. And with the other tight ends on the roster also entering free agency, and the loss of massive production from the Jimmy Graham trade the year before, there was a lot of uncertainty at the position. And now two weeks later, it's no longer a problem..

Although Saints head coach Sean Payton has repeatedly said he loves the future potential of tight end Josh Hill, the signing of Colts tight end Coby Fleener was a definite indication that management felt that potential has a cap...and it isn't nearly as high as Fleener's. That said, one man's trash is another man's treasure, and the Chicago Bears were more than happy to sign the blossoming young tight end. After Jimmy Graham was jettisoned to the Seattle Seahawks this time last year, many Who Dat fans in the Crescent City were in an uproar. After all, Graham and the Patriots Rob Gronkowski were putting up numbers that were putting them among the best pass catching tight ends of all time. Drew Brees quieted the critics by feeding the ball to veteran Benjamin Watson, who had a career season at the age of 35. With Watson moving on to Baltimore, who will be the next Saints tight end?

After the Saints disappointing 2014 season, Saints head coach Sean Payton vowed to make major changes to his team. And he was true to his word. The front office management, coaching staff and roster all had significant shake-ups from top to bottom. When the season opened, the Saints had 25 new faces, most in the NFL. Those changes have now spilled over into the regular season. Defensive end Akiem Hicks has been traded to the New England Patriots for tight end Michael Hoomanawanui.
