Synopsis: This is a classic Triple-A team with some prospects, others that are blocked and some guys trying to work their way back. The thin desert air and near cement infield at Kino Stadium in the summer months make this very much a hitter's paradise but not as much as some of the other stadiums in the PCL South.

Entering May, second baseman Rusty Ryal was off our Diamondbacks prospect radar because he hadn't yet displayed any power, while catcher Sean Coughlin had yet to even emerge from Extended Spring Training. Now, both prospects appear in the Top 10 of the FutureBacks Power Rankings.

Last offseason, the Arizona Diamondbacks added veteran minor leaguers Jeff Salazar and Augie Ojeda to their fold, and they surprised everyone by becoming key components to team's playoff drive. This season, outfielder Tim Raines Jr. and infielder Jesus Merchan come aboard and hope to follow in their footsteps.
