Corey Young realizing a dream, loving reality

Coming off of his second ACL surgery, some questioned whether or not Millard North RB Corey Young would even be healthy by this time. Well, he did and he's not only healthy, but according to him, he's in the hest shape of his life. That's good, because as Young says in this interview, you have to see the athleticism of this team to believe it. He's impressed with this new version of the big red.

Will Young be ready to play?

Nebraska's recruiting class in the secondary wasn't what it was supposed to be. Now, the players that Nebraska did receive letters of intent from are very good players, but Ashlee Palmer was supposed to be a key part of this class. Now, Major Culbert is a serious question mark to join the team at all. Corey Young had ACL surgery, but could he be counted on for this summer and fall?

Getting To Know: Corey Young

The Shrine Game wasn't supposed to go like it did for Corey Young. Young ended up injuring a knee that required surgery. Fortunately for him and Nebraska he is ahead of schedule and wants to come in ready this summer to challenge for playing time and fill a need. A need that Young could fill immediately. This is Corey Young, one on one.

Official not surprising, but still impressive

Being an in-state commit to Nebraska, there probably wasn't much Millard North running back Corey Young was going to learn on his official to NU. That's not the point, of course, because it's not about learning what you don't know, but reaffirming those things you think you do. Young did that and with his rehab ahead of schedule, he's excited about the future of the big red.

Rehab not dampening excitement for Young

You know what they say about something being like riding a bike, right? Millard North running back and future Husker Corey Young probably wishes you were talking about riding a bike instead of the situation he's in right now. After tearing an ACL, his second such injury of his brief high school career, he's getting on that bike once again. He came back fine from the last one, though, and he knows that this time will not be any different.

Nebraska stays home for #16

There's been a question about Nebraska's devotion to the players in state when it comes to recruiting the best football players Nebraska has to offer. The believe nowadays is that the eyes are more pointed other places, only looking inward when necessary. That may be the case, but that argument is a little harder to justify as the Huskers pick up their 16th commit and the fourth to come from within the borders of Nebraska.

In-State Star to decide next week

Life is good for Millard North, finding themselves in yet another state title game, this one facing the three year young Lincoln Southwest program. Unfortunately, they will more than likely be doing it without one of their chief stat producing machines in the backfield. Following an injury, Corey Young could find himself, for this game at least, on the outside looking in.
