AARON STRAITEN WAS pretty sure earlier this season he would be headed to UNLV. That may still end up being the case but after a trip to Corvallis this weekend, the Beavers are now in a dead heat for the 4-star wide receiver out of City College of San Francisco with Letter of Intent Day right around the corner.

Arizona already has three wide receiver commitments, but they seem as if they'd like to add another. They have three prospects set to make visits over the next three weeks. Wait, they HAD three receivers on tap to visit the Old Pueblo. Academic woes have led one talented prospect to be off the board for the Wildcats.

When former Husky WR Reggie Williams left early to head to the NFL, the Huskies were left without a true big wideout. Sophomore WR Craig Chambers is the biggest receiver on the Husky roster at 6-5, 200 so the Husky coaches are out looking for bigger receivers who can make plays down the field. City College of San Francisco WR Maurice Purify is just one of those players.
The amount of playmakers on both sides of the ball are something Washington's coaches are concentrating on during recruiting this fall. One player who is a true big-play threat at wideout is City College of San Francisco WR Aaron Straiten. Husky offensive line coach Mike Denbrock was down in the Bay area over the bye weekend and he saw several players on the CCSF squad work out, but one of the standouts was Straiten
