Highly touted wide receiver D.J. Donley originally signed with Georgia Tech out of high school in the 2007 recruiting class, but with the arrival of Coach Paul Johnson's option-offense at GT, he's decided to transfer to South Carolina. GamecockAnthem.com spoke with Donley's former high school coach Richard McWhorter on Friday afternoon, and he talked about Donley's decision to transfer to USC.

With 20 teams in the Georgia Dome playing late playoff quality football, it's tough to pick out the best college prospect in the Dome, but I'll give it a shot and go with D.J. Donley of Charlton County. A word of advice to D.J....Defense Donley, Defense!
Charlton County isn't the two time defending State Champion for nothing. The Indians made a big play on defense to take the lead and never looked back against ferocious Early County Defense. See all of the action in this presentation by ScoutTV.
It might be a surprise to some, but not to the Early County Bobcats who came to the Dome ready to play, Early County on the strenght of a lightning fast defense and strong arm of Emmanuel Taylor have staked themselves to a 6-0 lead at halftime.
After talking to D.J. Donley a few times this week, he went ahead told me what his choice will be to attend college. DJ had already said Georgia Tech was a huge favorite so we had a feeling but hearing him give a firm commitment ended his recruiting process.

Charlton County's D.J. Donley is one of the top players in the Peach State for the class of 2007. Last week, he listed Georgia Tech as his leader. Will the Jackets land another early commitment from this bigtime recruit or will it be one of his other top two?
