The large inflatable Oregon State football helmet that the players run out of on game days at Reser greeted the 800 Beaver football fans who attended the fourth annual recruiting dinner Wednesday night at the Oregon Convention Center. Inside the Oregon Ballroom orange and black littered the tables and fans as giant, clear Beaver logos shone on the walls.

FUTURE BEAVER JAKE GELAKOSKA was in Corvallis with family this past Saturday, taking in OSU's thrilling 33-31 win over USC. The 6-4, 215-pound quarterback with the live arm has been in weekly contact with the Beavers' staff via the phone line since his verbal commitment but at the end of the game, he rushed the field and saw some OSU coaches and players up close and in person.

Jake Gelakoska, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound quarterback from Jackson High School in Mill Creek, Wash., verbally committed to Mike Riley and the Oregon State Beavers Tuesday. "I committed a little bit ago to Oregon State," the 4-star prospect told Scout.com. "I got done with school today and it felt good. I like Oregon State a lot, so why not get it done with now? I've been thinking about it a lot."
