The Texas Tech Red Raiders started off slow in the 2007 recruiting class after signing one of their best classes in recent memory in 2006. Going into the month of January the Red Raiders had yet to garner a single four star commitment for the class of 2007. However, during the month of January the Red Raiders fortune changed and they are one of the hottest teams in the Big 12.

The Texas Longhorns arguably are bringing in the most talented group of offensive linemen in the nation next year. Three members of that group -- Tray Allen, Michael Huey and Jerrod Gooch -- were in Austin over the weekend for one of the biggest recruiting events of the year. Jerrod Gooch Would Fill a Need

With the loss of starting offensive linemen EJ Whitley and Bryan Kegans this year and losing three more starters after next year, the Red Raider coaching was able to reel in the #8 OL class in the country to help out. They are looking to repeat that success on Singing Day 2007.
