This could go down as one of the better mid-major commitments from the Class of 2007. Steve Swiech is headed to the Mid-American Conference as one league school struck it rich with a big guy. The 6-9 center committed on Friday.

Steve Swiech recovers from surgery

The University of Pittsburgh is currently evaluating a number of talented local prospects. One of the most complete student athletes on the Panthers' radar happens to be big man Steve Swiech from Elizabeth Forward High School in Elizabeth, PA. Swiech recently underwent surgery on his foot.
