There were a lot of players dealing with injuries this spring. One such player was tight end Austin Holt, who is coming back from a leg injury suffered last season. He was kept from participating fully in spring camp as he recovered, but that shouldn't be the case come fall camp, as he is way ahead of schedule.

BYU's offense has been a disappointment, but don't blame the tight ends. One of the more underwhelming aspects of last year's team – at least earlier in the season – BYU's still-young tight ends have picked up their game and are a bigger part of the passing game this year. Austin Holt, one of the reasons for the improved play, talks about the tight end corps and the muddled quarterback situation.

Sixteen Cougars saw action for the first time in their BYU careers in front of 63,771 screaming fans. The 23-17 Cougar victory in front of a 19th straight sellout crowd at LaVell Edwards Stadium was an experience that they will remember for a long time.

Rated the fifth-best tight end in the country for the class of 2008, Austin Holt has returned home from serving a mission in the state of Missouri. Since being home, Holt has been preparing for fall camp by studying the playbook daily and working out with the many talented quarterbacks found at BYU.

SEATTLE - The Scout.com Northwest Hot 100 can now be put to bed for the class of 2008. Spanning five states and one province, there are 27 schools represented, from BCS conferences all the way down to NAIA Division-1. The top-20 didn't change much, but there was a new entry into the top-25, and the Oregon State Beavers had the two biggest risers in the group.

Cougar commit Austin Holt competed Saturday in the Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. For Holt, it was a chance to play with and go against the top players in the nation, of which he is one. Holt came away from the experience grateful and excited to show what he can do at the next level. TBS caught up with Holt following the game.

"The visit was really cool," said Austin Holt of his visit to Stanford. "The coaches were great and I had a lot of fun on game day. They really treat their players well there and it was a big weekend because they were playing Notre Dame. I also really liked the campus and my host was a Utah guy (soph free safety Bo McNally), so we had a good time." Holt said he remains solidly committed to BYU.
