With Missouri 's 2007 recruiting class all but finished and a week between now and signing day, the staff would love to finish on a successful note. There would be no better way to do it than by reeling in Lee (Tx.) High wide receiver Jacob Amie, who spoke with InsideMizzou Tuesday night about his upcoming official visit to Columbia this weekend.

One of the most heavily pursued players in the state of Texas, despite him being a commitment to a school, has to be Jacob Amie. Amie made a commitment to Texas Tech way back at the start of the season, but wanted to take some visits to be sure it was the right decision. With one official under his belt, Amie will finally see Lubbock. There will be other visits to come as well.

Nebraska is looking for a deep threat at tight end. Nebraska was hosting one of the top athletes in the state of Texas this past weekend. Jacob Amie is being looked at as a wide receiver by some and by a tight end as some others. Nebraska has him pegged as a tight end and as someone that can come in and fill that big play hole at the tight end position.

It's been a long time coming for Jacob Amie. It seemed like every time that Amie had a trip set up that something happened. Now, the season is over and he is ready to make some trips. The first team to get an official from Amie will be the Cornhuskers. Nebraska has turned up the heat recently for Amie.

There is a renewed effort to get into Texas for recruits by Nebraska. It was the perfect year to do so with Nebraska winning the Big 12 North, potentially the championship and being on TV that carried regional coverage into Texas multiple times this year. Nebraska has seven commits from the Lone Star State, could Amie be eight?
