LED BY THREE YEAR CAPTAIN AND THREE TIME ALL-WAC SELECTION SHILOH KEO, WHO WAS VOTED THE 2010 TEAM MVP, the University of Idaho football program handed out its team awards this weekend. QB Nathan Enderle and WR Eric Greenwood were named Offensive Players of the Year, Aaron Lavarias earned Defensive Player of the Year, and several others were honored, including athletes returning next fall.

GoVandals.net salutes Idaho's All-WAC selections, led by sophomore punter BOBBY COWAN named to the 2010 First Team who averaged 45.14 yards per punt this year, and through two seasons has a school record average of 44.23 yards per kick. Idaho's Second Team selections are seniors Eric Greenwood (wide receiver), Daniel Hardy (tightend/H-Back), Aaron Lavarias (defensive end) and Shiloh Keo (safety).

ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON, THE VANDALS (5-6, 2-4 WAC) KEPT THEIR GOALS OF A BOWL ALIVE by bouncing back from three straight losses to the WAC's top teams to notch an impressive 28-6 road victory over Utah State. It was coach Robb Akey's first victory over the Aggies as Idaho's head coach, and the Vandals first November win since 2004. Up next is another must-win game, this time at Fresno State.

In a game televised nationally on ESPN-U, the Idaho Vandals defeated the Colorado State Rams Saturday night in the Dome, improving to 4-1 on the season. Idaho overcame a 14-point first half deficit for a 31-29 win. The wide receiver unit has taken their lumps in recent years, both in the press and on the field. In the last five years Idaho has operated under three different offensive coordinators, and this unit has suffered its share of attrition over the years. But this season, led by senior slot receiver MAX KOMAR and an experienced depth chart, the Vandals are poised to make the passing game a weapon.

Spring Camp 2009 is finished and the team now sets its focus on preparing for the season opener at New Mexico State in just a few months. Quarterback Nathan Enderle battled newcomer Brian Reader to retain his starting job going into fall, wide receiver Eric Greenwood was impressive, and third year head coach ROBB AKEY provides his thoughts on the progress the Vandals made during camp.
