Tuel decision was weeks in the making

But WSU coach Paul Wulff said during his Thursday conference call that true freshman Jeff Tuel has been prepared to play for weeks.

Cougars crisp all around, Norrell shines

PULLMAN--The Cougars had to set their alarms earlier than normal this morning for an 8 a.m. practice -- sometimes that means a bit of lethargy creeps in. But this morning on the Palouse saw crisp play in team drills, by both offense and defense alike. Kevin Norrell was a grabmaster, the No. 1 d-line was strong against the run, while their o-line counterparts provided solid pass-pro, plus more.

Charting the Cougar weight, muscle gains

THE UPDATED WEIGHTS for the Cougar footballers are in. The numbers, as they were in the spring, remain striking. There are many who have gained 15-20 pounds, and more, since last year. Then there are players who put on the bulk before the spring, then trimmed and repackaged it this summer to add quickness. CF.C charts the progression from fall of '08, to the '09 spring, to today.
