It's week three, and for some reason week three always brings about a tough opponent for Washington of late. USC, Oklahoma, Ohio State...it's been a virtual bloodbath at home. This weekend is no different, as the No. 6 Nebraska Cornhuskers come calling. Can the Huskies pull out a little last-second magic, as they did last year against the No. 3-ranked Trojans? Or will it a lopsided affair?

Wednesday was not a good one for the Washington Huskies, as Will Mahan was diagnosed with a season-ending injury, and running back Johri Fogerson is doubtful to play this Saturday against Syracuse. We spoke with UW Head Coach Steve Sarkisian to get his thoughts on the injuries, as well as his take on the team bouncing back from their loss to BYU.

He talked about the availability of Brandon Huppert, Greg Ducre, Kalani Aldrich, James Johnson - and also gave us the team's itinerary for Friday as they travel to Salt Lake City.

Wednesday night was another spirited session in shells and shorts, but the hitting never stopped and there was strong play on both sides of the ball. As we are into the dawg days of Camp Sark, players are trying their best to impress the coaches and show them that they belong.

As a Washington fan this decade, you could count the minutes of bliss heading into football season with an egg timer. The buildup and anticipation that the Huskies were going to improve over the season before became shorter and shorter - to the point where it basically became a running joke.
