CORVALLIS--Plenty of mano y mano battles taking place up front on Monday, with several linemen turning in nice outings. At linebacker, Keith Pankey has speed to thrill and one play during Monday's session bore that out. In addition to the emergence of RBs McCants and Francis, don't forget about Patrick Fuller. Meanwhile, Clark, Brown, Reese, Vave, Oshinowo and others also made some noise.

CORVALLIS-The OSU defense Monday racked up the takeaways and showed they can put points up on the board, too. Several DBs carded picks, Bryan Payton continued his stellar spring, Keenan Lewis, Brandon Hardin and David Ross all made noise, and DE Kevin Frahm found paydirt. On offense, the highlights included the tight ends and running backs. And late Monday, the Beavs picked up a verbal commitment!

Sports analysts would all agree on one thing - "Yvenson Bernard is the most underrated player in the Pac-10." That has a lot to do with the physical and mental toughness this kid brings to the field. Last year Bernard had to run with minor injuries throughout the season, but still managed to tearoff over 1,300 yards equaling a little over 100 yards a game.
