First, it was Jacob Pullen, then it was Clent Stewart, and now, it's both. Heading into the stretch run of the 2007-08 Big 12 basketball season, Kansas State coach Frank Martin is trying to decide who to start at the point guard spot, or, whether to start both of his candidates.

For three days this week, Kansas State was a first-place Big 12 basketball team, living in celebration of ending a 24-game home-court losing streak to the University of Kansas. But on that third day the Wildcats traveled to play a Missouri team that was just 2-4 in the Big 12 … and they lost, 77-74. Still, all is not lost for what looks to be an NCAA Tournament-bound K-State team.

In past seasons, Kansas State has always had a decent support cast, but never the star-player, who could take it upon himself to go win a basketball game. That, however, was then, and this is now. With Michael Beasley, the Wildcats may have the best player in the nation. With Bill Walker, K-State has another first-team all-Big 12 player.

Bob Huggins sent a message to his players early in the game. The coach of the Kansas State men's basketball team benched four of his five starters after only three minutes of action Saturday night in a 68-57 victory over Coppin State in Bramlage Coliseum.

Daytona Beach (Fla.) Community College guard Blake Young took four official visits, including a trip to University of Washington this past weekend but in the end, Kansas State and Coach Bob Huggins proved too much. Committing to Kansas State, Blake Young is one of the Top JUCO Point Guards in the nation and the star player becomes the second player highly touted player to commit to K-State under Coach Huggins.
