A big home run for Connor Powers in a wild one in Lake Elsinore. The Missions have now won ten straight. In Fort Wayne two of the Padres top position prospects continue to shine.

MadFriars' Farm Report: July 3

Keyvius Sampson had his best outing of the year as he led the Missions to a 2-0 win, their ninth straight win, and the Storm keep on rolling as well behind centerfielder Rico Noel's 58th stolen base of the year.

MadFriars' Farm Report: June 23

The Storm keep rolling and Portillo pitches another gem in Fort Wayne. The Missions have now won 7 out of 9 and San Diego does have some catching depth in the short-season leagues.

MadFriars' Farm Report: May 11

A pair of doubleheaders, one turned out really well and the other didn't. In San Antonio Cody Decker and Nate Freiman are now the league leaders in home runs for the Texas League. Although the Storm lost Corey Spangenberg, he is now hitting over .303 after starting off the month at .240. Matt Clark is really starting to heat up for the T-Padres after a rough April.

Fort Wayne and San Antonio win as the T-Padres and Storm go down hard. San Antonio second baseman Jedd Gyorko is really starting to get comfortable at the plate as he hit his third home run in four days.

MadFriars' Farm Report: May 5

Only the Storm failed to win on a big day for the Padres system. A very big day for Tucson's Matt Clark who went 5-6 with two home runs and two doubles in a doubleheader sweep by the T-Padres. The Missions also got home run happy on the road and Fort Wayne's Matt Wisler gets his first victory.

Eugene Emeralds Notebook III

Eugene, OR: With the heat, the Eugene Emeralds had a lighter day in their pre-game. Bullpens and batting practice was all, especially with an 11 o'clock game in the morrow. No sense in tiring them out when they have to come right back to it. Still, there were highlights. Also, a note on the San Diego Padres Instructional League.
