CORVALLIS -- Mike Riley was absent on Day 12 of the Beavers fall camp – Mark Banker called the shots and at session's end, there were water balloons involved. But a slew of Beaver players remained inactive during practice today and the defense is still in the midst of rebuilding, says Banker. Defensively, the secondary was making news as Ryan Hanford plays tough, Brian Watkins makes a pick, Ryan Murphy made two and Rashaad Reynolds has the POD on defense.

LAST YEAR, the Oregon State secondary was the least experienced unit on the team with all new starters across the board. This spring, they come in as one of the most experienced -- with three starters and one part time starter returning. But not all of the positions are set, with a handful of youngsters looking ready to push for playing time.
