Minnesota sophomore wide receiver Ralph Spry, who left the team before the Insight Bowl, has transferred to Auburn. Spry started as a freshman but was suspended for two games this season for violating team rules and never regained his starting role. Ralph Spry, Jr., a 5-11, 170-pound senior wide receiver from Auburn (AL) Alabama, will play for Minnesota next season, according to sources close to the situation. Spry was named honorable mention All-State by the Alabama Sportswriter Writer's Association as a senior, and the Alabama high school coaches selected him to represent Alabama June 2 in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.
