The Dapper Dan Charities have annually honored outstanding Pittsburgh sports figures since 1936. Two Dukes, men's basketball player Sam Ashaolu and women's basketball head coach Suzie McConnell-Serio, are nominated in two 2009 Dapper Dan categories. Everyone can vote!

Duquesne senior Aaron Jackson and his Portsmouth Partnership team took third place with their second win, 92-74 over Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament (P.I.T.) Saturday evening in Virginia.

Sam Ashaolu Sues Duquesne re: '06 Shooting

Sam Ashaolu, the Toronto, Ontario basketball player who never got a chance to play a game on the Bluff as a result of the September 2006 shootings, filed suit on Tuesday against Duquesne and those individuals found guilty of this crime. The lawsuit accuses the school of negligence that led to the shooting.

Dukes Complete Sunday Sweep (DU release)

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO - Duquesne topped the 100-point mark for the second time in 12 hours in upping its Canadian Tour record to 3-0 with a 105-76 win over Sheridan College on Sunday night.

CBS To Broadcast Sam Ashaolu Feature Sat.

Last weekend, Sam Ashaolu was back in Toronto for the Sam Ashaolu charity basketball tournament. Tomorrow, Saturday, December 23rd, at about 2:45 p.m. ET, CBS will broadcast a feature story on Sam's recovery from the September shooting during the halftime break of the Boston College - Kansas game.
