It's a big weekend for Army football and the Black Knights aren't even taking the field for a game. Still, history can be made by strong safety Caleb Campbell. Campbell could become the first Army player selected in the NFL draft since the Green Bay Packers took quarterback Ronnie McAda in the seventh round of the 1997 draft.

Caleb Campbell laid out some of the hardest hits Michie Stadium has ever seen. Jeremy Trimble made all kinds plays for Army as a wide receiver and punt returner. Mike Viti is one of the toughest son of a guns to ever put on the uniform for the Black Knights. Owen Tolson's punts had more orbit than a space satellite.

Whatever it takes. Bruising fullback Mike Viti will do whatever it takes to help the Army football team. We know that from watching this hard-charger the last few years. Viti's sacrificed his body, made dozens of punishing blocks and this season is expected to be even a bigger part of the offense.

You can point at the head coach or the schedule and, sure, that has and will play a huge part in Army's success or failure. But you could raise Earl "Red" Blaik from his grave, put him on Army's sideline and without a good running back. Blaik unleashed the likes of Pete Dawkins and Doc Blanchard on opponents.

Mike Viti is a bruising fullback, a throwback, he never stops coming. Jeremy Trimble is a sure-handed wide receiver and a reliable punt returner. Tony Fusco is a hard-nosed defensive tackle. Strong Safety Caleb Campbell could have a future in the NFL.
