The bullpen blows a pair of leads late for San Jose, but thanks to a defensive miscue and some clutch hitting, they managed to eek out a win. Starting pitching dominates for Connecticut and Augusta, leading to a pair of nail-biting victories. A closer returns from an injury for Fresno, but a starter gets roughed up. Just Another near-sweep Day in the Minors!

The Giants system has always been known for being strong on pitching and weak on hitting, but in recent years the winning teams had developed at least a modicum of hitting to stand up, and offense based around other things than power. Not anymore. The GreenJackets have had their offensive problems early, can they survive them?
