Conditioning Done Now Practice

Eugene -- As July winds down, so does the voluntary summer workouts. Friday, July 29 marks the end of the summer conditioning program for the Oregon Ducks. On August 8th, fall starts for the 2011 season. Seniors Terrell Turner and Lavasier Tuinei spoke about the conditioning program and their observations about some of the new players on the Ducks roster.

Cougar visit wows Turner, UO enters picture

TERRELL TURNER says his official visit to Washington State this weekend could not have gone much better. "It went great -- real, real great -- I loved it," said the 6-2, 225-pounder. Before the linebacker prospect even arrived home, however, another Pac-10 school got in touch, offered a scholarship, and has subsequently set up an in-home visit and official trip for this coming weekend.

CRENSHAW HIGH in Los Angeles has a reputation for producing D-IA players and linebacker Terrell Turner, who takes an official visit to Washington State this weekend, holds a crimson offer plus a pair of others. Six-foot-3 and 230 pounds is big for a prep linebacker but not for a lineman, yet that's where Turner pulled double duty at his senior year and excelled at both positions.
