MadFriars Daily Farm Report: June 2

The El Paso Chihuahuas continue to roll. The Chihuahuas used a four-run seventh to get a victory at home. The Missions lost again on the road, while Chris Huffman came off of the disabled list to pitch the Storm to a win in Rancho. The TinCaps greeted David Jay with a walk-off victory at picturesque Parkview Field.

2015 MadFriars Chihuahuas Pitcher of the Year

In their second season since relocating from Tucson, the Chihuahuas surged in the second half push to make the playoffs before losing to the Astros’ loaded Fresno Grizzlies affiliate in the first round. A trio of thirty-something hurlers started 82 games for El Paso, which had a 4.57 team ERA good for second-best among the six desert clubs that give the PCL its offense-friendly reputation.

MadFriars' Daily Farm Report: August 31

The Minor League season is approaching its conclusion, and Monday was a wild day in the Padres’ system. Fort Wayne ended their losing streak with an offensive outburst, while San Antonio had a dramatic comeback capped with a big homer. Not to be outdone, the Chihuahuas scored three in the bottom of the ninth to pull closer to first place.
