4 Cougar seniors reflect as careers wind down

PULLMAN -- All the spring practices, summer practices, fall practices, weight lifting, video sessions, position meetings, road trips, wins and losses -- and yes, there were far too many of the latter – come to a conclusion Saturday for the 20 seniors on the Washington State football team. Few, if any, will ever play football again.

IT SEEMS ODD to suggest that a Pac-10 team that has not won a conference game since 2008 could be overconfident. But Washington State coach Paul Wulff suggested during his Sunday teleconference that might have occurred during the Cougars' 42-0 loss Saturday at Arizona State.

DAY 10: One of those days out on the Palouse

PULLMAN—Seems like every team has "one of those days" in spring ball, and this was that day for the Cougs. Taking the field for the first time since a solid Saturday scrimmage, WSU looked to be there from a physical standpoint only. For the first time this spring, Paul Wulff looked truly displeased, though the D did make some huge plays including two by 'backers Hallston Higgins and Darren Markle.
