The 2011 season is among the most anticipated ever for Buckeye fans, but the elder statesmen of the Ohio State football team feel the same way. After watching the program's name take a hit during the offseason, many of the Buckeye seniors want to do what they can to repair Ohio State's image, and that work starts on the field Saturday.

The three players representing Ohio State at the Big Ten Media Days this week in Chicago are ready to turn the page and get back to the gridiron when fall camp starts next week. In the meantime, though, the players have a lot of talking to do in the Windy City, and questions about football never sounded so good considering the NCAA mess that hit the program is still a hot topic.

Marion, Ohio, native Warren G. Harding ran for president on the platform of a "Return to Normalcy." New Ohio State football coach Luke Fickell likely could do the same. Though it has been a tumultuous few months at OSU with the departures of Jim Tressel and Terrelle Pryor, players speaking Tuesday said everything feels the same -- and positive -- around the team facility under the new coach.

Ohio State wrapped up spring practice April 23 with the annual spring game and will not resume official team practices until fall camp kicks off in late summer. With 14 starters from the team's bowl game unavailable for at least the first five games of the season, unofficial summer workouts will become more vital than ever.

Spring has sprung, and it has been a tiring one for a depleted OSU offensive line that lost eight players from a season ago. Only that same amount of scholarship players remain among 11 overall linemen, so the Buckeyes and line coach Jim Bollman have had to get creative while trying to fill two-and-a-half spots come September.
