Head-to-head: Navy vs. Air Force

Navy and Air Force meet this Saturday at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in the first leg of the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy. Last year the Falcons defeated the Mids 14-6 in Colorado Springs to end its seven game losing streak against Navy. Navy enters the game fresh off a bye week after a tremendous effort against number No. 10 ranked South Carolina on the road.

In a valiant effort the Navy Midshipmen battled the South Carolina Gamecocks, the No. 10 ranked team in the nation, in Columbia last Saturday. South Carolina picked off Navy quarterback Kriss Proctor's final fourth down pass with one minute to go in the game to hold off the Mids, 24-21.

Navy Practice Update: Week 2

Navy opened the first two practice days this week with the team in full pads. Head coach Ken Niumatalolo made it clear early in the week that he was unhappy with his players effort on the practice field. Niumatalolo said, "I didn't like our energy level. I didn't like our temperament. I am expecting a little more when we actually turn it loose," he said.

Northwest Hot 100 final rankings are out

SEATTLE - The Scout.com Northwest Hot 100 can now be put to bed for the class of 2008. Spanning five states and one province, there are 27 schools represented, from BCS conferences all the way down to NAIA Division-1. The top-20 didn't change much, but there was a new entry into the top-25, and the Oregon State Beavers had the two biggest risers in the group.
