Tim Stauffer returned to the starting rotation with a well-pitched game but got a no-decision while Michael O'Connor debuts. Stephen Faris struggles out of the gate while Carlos Guevara and Philip Barzilla debut. Jeremy McBryde pitches well but is saddled with the loss. Manuel Nuno and Carlos Garcia have five-RBI games while Luis Domoromo touches home five times.

Wade LeBlanc pitches well but the Portland offense doesn't awaken until the ninth. Stephen Faris helps his own cause with two runs scored but gets a no-decision with the offense exploding in the eighth. Jeremy McBryde is battered in his worst start of the year. Sawyer Carroll and James Darnell each collect four hits in an offensive explosion.

Rolando Valdez lasts just one inning in a shutout loss with Triple-A Portland. A four-run innings is enough support for Stephen Faris. Logan Forsythe goes yard and Luis Martinez extends his on base streak to 27. Matt Clark clubs a pair while Anthony Bass is superb again. Jean Corpas picks up another win for the DSL Padres while Manuel Nuno paces the offense with four RBI.
