Inside is a look at eight "newcomers" who are already battling this spring for significant playing time. The group includes junior QB LUKE TRACY, one of three JC transfers joining the program as midyear transfers. Also included in the group are grayshirt and redshirt athletes expected to be in the thick of the hunt for playing time at various roster positions.

3-Star receiver is No. 1

With a new head coach in place and a new staff being assembled, plus plans in the works for a new field to be installed in the Dome for the 2007 season, received news last week of Idaho's first commitment for the '07 recruiting class. Receiver CORY RHOANE (6-3, 210) verbally committed to Idaho recently and is anticipated to join the team for the spring semester.

Sometimes when schools go through coaching changes, players can get lost in the shuffle. Such is the case for Cerritos WR Cory Rhoane who had an official visit planned with Iowa State earlier this fall, but that trip never happened.

Big Season Expected for Cory Rhoane

Talented wideouts are aplenty in the junior college ranks this year and one of the more athletically gifted ones is Cerritos WR Cory Rhoane (6-3, 210).  Coming out of Gahr High School in Cerritos, California, Rhoane didn't receive any offers, but it wasn't because he wasn't a solid prospect.
