Ginger Miller and her son, Chris Bonds, feel like they could write a book on recruiting. The book would serve as an instruction manual for those about to go through the process themselves. Bonds will move to Tuscaloosa as a part of the Tide's 2009 signing class.

Richland Northeast defensive end Chris Bonds is one of the most likeable guys around. When he talks about overcoming two serious knee injuries sustained in high school games and how he hasn't let it deter his football dreams, as well as his quest for academic excellence, you begin to really cheer for the young man's success because when he gets there you know he'll have earned every bit of it.

Chris Bonds, Scout.com four-star defensive end from Columbia-Richland Northeast, (S.C.), has been injured the past two seasons. He tore an ACL in 2007 and suffered a torn meniscus as a senior missing several games. Bonds is back 100-percent and competing in the U.S. Army All-American game. He talked about first day in San Antonio and the commitment to Alabama.

Chris Bonds, four-star defensive end from Columbia-Richland Northeast, (S.C.) committed to the University of Alabama Sunday night over several scholarship offers including USC, Notre Dame, Michigan, South Carolina and Tennessee. Head coach Jay Frye has dealt with a couple of injuries to Bonds as he shared more of his star player.

Defensive end Chris Bonds visited Alabama on Oct. 17. "My visit went really well," Bonds said. "I really liked getting to know coach Saban. We had breakfast at his house during the trip and I got to talk to him personally for like 30 minutes. He's a great judge of character and he pretty much had me pegged after our talk. He really understood me." Bonds recently committed to the Crimson Tide.
