THERE WERE THREE ROSTER MOVES announced on Tuesday -- Quarterback Peter Lalich (pronounced lah-LICK), who was dismissed from the University of Virginia's football team a week ago for underage drinking, will enroll at Oregon State and start classes Monday. Meanwhile, two players on the current roster are reportedly no longer with the team.

OREGON STATE DID not stretch the field last season. Will that change in '08? The big questions headed into fall camp are found on the offensive line, and the answers will in large part define the look and success of the offensive attack. At the so-called skill positions, expectations are sky high for a Beaver rookie and what would fall camp be without a little fan conjecture at quarterback.

One of a coach's worst fears going through spring practice is injuries and the Oregon State offensive line was hit hard. From knees to chests to shoulders it seemed like the players couldn't catch a break. Coach Mike Cavanaugh and his buffet busters trudged on though, but many of the questions at the start of the month still remain unanswered.

CORVALLIS--The centers got in some extra work, tight ends drilled hard at two of the position's responsibilities, Una Smiley is XXL and Stephen Paea is turning heads. Lyle Moevao? On target again in drills Friday, while true frosh Ryan Katz continued to throw the nicest deep ball. TT was pushing 'em all over the place plus an update on replacing the best kicker to ever take the field at OSU.

OSU QUARTERBACK LYLE MOEVAO was razor sharp on Friday, connecting on a variety of throws to a number of receivers. Up front, the feel good story of the offseason hit a high water mark as Una Smiley took the field for the first time as a Beaver. But another incoming offensive lineman has left campus. Meanwhile, Shane Morales and James Rodgers continue to catch everything thrown their way.
